Our Holiday Banners

Eye-popping color, a crisp well-crafted message, and pictures that announce and inspire. These are just some of the many experiences a quality graphics banner can gift to you and your customers. Yet many people assume that designing such a high-quality banner is complicated, but it is actually very simple!

From light pole banners, window murals, to backlit signs and everything in-between, holiday banners are an essential and versatile tool in your décor program. The following suggestions will help get you started to create a professional looking design for a light pole banner project:

  1. First, make sure you know what size light pole banner you need. Our most common size is 30” x 96”, but we often create banners that are 30” x 60” or 30”x 84”. The ratio of the banner makes a big difference in how your image will be cropped. Not sure of your light pole size, then you can read this article to measure it yourself, consult the city, or call us and we can help you out.
  2. There may be times when you want your banner to be completely filled by an image. If so, choose an image that has some open space to allow for the placement of text. This way the image doesn’t interfere with your message legibility. Images with a lot of details may also interfere with text legibility. If your image is busy or has several colors, then it is a good idea to place the text in separate fields. This will ensure that your message is legible.
  3. Vibrant color combinations and bold font styles can create a unique look and feel within the same design. Experiment with different colors found within the image you have picked, and then decide which combination looks best in your banner design. Try to avoid using too many colors and font styles, especially when the image in your banner is busy. This will keep your banner looking clean and not cluttered. Whatever your design, take care to choose fonts that are easily read. Avoid overly decorative fonts, as these fonts lose legibility at a distance.
  4. Once you have settled on a design for your banner, you can reuse and rearrange elements of your design in other formats. Coordinating light pole banners with other forms of graphics will help reinforce your message all over your property.

We can help you create an effective coordinated graphics program combining light pole banners, over-the-street-banners, window graphics, backlit signs, murals, hanging signs and more. If you’re interested in learning more, consult our holiday graphics catalog and contact us at (contact info).
