How to Prepare for Holiday Installations

It’s almost install season!

Even if you hired a team to install your decorations for you, there are still some things you need to do to prep your property for their arrival.

Before your installers show up for the big day, an installation manager will likely come to survey your property. This will allow the operations and project teams to create a site map and installation guide for the installers to follow.

You should receive an installation date range so you’ll know when to expect the install team – and your décor – to arrive.

Here’s how you can help ensure a seamless installation:

Trim Your Trees

If you’re lighting any palm or deciduous trees, please make sure they look their Christmas best.

Free Up Power Sources

Make sure your power sources are available and easily accessible to expedite the installation process. If you don’t have easily accessible power, please notify the team in advance so they can adequately prepare.

Notify Your Security Teams

Holiday installers can’t do their job if security doesn’t know they’re supposed to be there. Please make any security guards aware of their presence well ahead of time to avoid delays.

Schedule Special Events & Routine Maintenance Around Your Installation

Any installation crew would hate to interrupt your teams while they work and celebrate. Please schedule your property’s events and maintenance before they arrive (or after for an even more magical scene).

Holiday installers prefer to work under the cover of moonlight. Working overnight allows them to stay out of your way during regular business hours. So you can expect to see the sleighs (installation trucks) arriving as your team is heading home for the day. This just means you get to sit back, relax, and drive in the next day to a workplace that’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Installations can take anywhere from 1-5 days. By prepping your property, you can help your installers deck your halls as quick as St. Nick.
