Setting the Scene
Knott’s has been bringing smiles to Southern California faces for over 100 years. For the holidays, Knott’s Berry Farm transforms into Knott’s Merry Farm, and we’ve had the pleasure of preparing the park for multiple Christmas seasons.
The Ask
Each area of Knott’s Berry Farm features distinctive attributes that set it apart from the rest. Ghost Town reminds guests of the wild west, when the Knotts family first ventured to California. Camp Snoopy is donned in Peanuts motifs. Fiesta Village put hispanic culture on display. With such unique areas defining the park, each section needs décor to match.
The Answer
We knew this wouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all project, so our elves put on their creative caps and designed custom décor for each park theme. Guests head to Ghost Town to reminisce about the good ol’ days. So the miniature city is lightly decorated with classically ornamented garlands and wreaths donning flannel bows and holly leaves. Boardwalk boasts beach vibes, with colorful ornaments and graphics, teal and green Toy Soldiers, and a groovy surfboard Christmas tree. For Fiesta Village, we bring in authentic ornaments handmade in Mexico. And Bear-y Tales is decked in purple and gold embellishments.
Knott’s Merry Farm brings back the nostalgia of the holidays and gives Southern Californians the opportunity to experience a white Christmas even on warm sunny days.
